Lysterfield Victoria 2020

Singletracks,Roos,and more....

Lysterfield has been one of our favorite spots for years and it has seen a fair bit of change since the Com Games put it on the map.

Tracks in the park make for some good fast singletrack riding close to trees and are always fun to ride. There has been some extensive track building done in the last couple of years and there is potential for quite some more.

Mostly tracks are suited to beginners with a few intermediate tracks but if you are looking for advanced technical riding you will have to look elsewhere.

The tracks are in excellent condition and if you are into miles of fast singletrack to get your fitness up to scratch or want to take the kids out for a bit of a ride to see the roos this is the place to go in Melbourne.

Good starting point is the Lysterfield Lake Park with plenty of parking.

Due to it's popularity Lysterfield can become quite crowded at times so ride early on weekends.Watch out for Roos as they are used to bikers and are not in a hurry of getting out of your way.

On hot day's you can combine your ride with a swim in Lysterfield Lake.

Stay out of the park when it is wet and it might even be closed during periods of extended rain. Some Endurance races held in wet conditions ruined the tracks especially during the last few years and sensible long term closures are now getting enforced by park management.

All up a great place to ride ,always a favorite for a quick Team Wombat spin.

Ride on
