Wright Forest Emerald 2014

Great place for some wild singletrack

Between Emerald and Cockatoo in Victoria you find Wright Forest.

Apart from the famous Puffing Billy Railway which cuts through Wright Forest you can also find some nice (short) singletrack here.

If you got a couple of hours to kill, Wright will keep you plenty busy with twists an turns reminding of times gone past before manicured state of the art tracks were common.

While riding these tracks you will find reminders of ghetto track building all over the place. None of the tracks were ever officially sanctioned and most have gone back to a semi wild status.(You might want to change your X0/XTR rear derailleurs for some cheapies as there is a real chance here of some sticks causing damage).

If you are in the area drop in and have a look you might find a track you love , but you must be willing to look for it.
